Biography

Matsumoto Kenta (松本健太) is the vocalist and bassist of WANIMA, and former member of HANIMA. With his childhood friend KO-SHIN, and WAKITA, created WANIMA in Kumamoto. He grew up listening to reggae and hip-hop music from overseas under the influence of his older sister, and was shocked by punk rock and other music played by his childhood friend KO-SHIN, whom he has known since he was four years old, and began listening to bands. When he was in high school, he formed the band HANIMA, the predecessor of WANIMA. In his childhood, he and KO-SHIN fished and sold fish at the market to escape poverty and hunger.
